Debate Edge is a platform where you can get free coaching for policy debate at the middle school and high school levels. We offer in depth one-on-one meetings at whatever time fits your needs. There's no overhead; you can join us once, multiple times a week, or whenever you need help preparing for your next tournament. All you have to do is pick your coach and sign up on their page!

I'm Samar, a varsity debater at Whitney Young, and I made this to give back to the debate community that has made me who I am today. I am passionate about debate and want to share my knowledge with other debaters to help them achieve their goals.

Policy debate is one of the best extra-curricular activities for middle and high school students and our goal is to help make you successful. Debate can help build all of the following skills.

• Critical Thinking: Policy debate requires you to quickly explain and argue for and against complicated topics.

• Public Speaking: Policy debaters must speak in front of multiple people during rounds, building confidence and speaking abilities.

• Teamwork: Policy debate is not just a partner activity, it also teaches you how to work with the rest of your team.

• Open-mindedness: Arguing both sides of a topic in quick succession helps people understand different perspectives and how they interact.
